The Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah have held world speed records up to 631 mph. Monique happened to arrive there for thier annual "Speed Week" with her family,  only to surprisingly find herself IN a vehicle trying for her own personal record of 130 mph.

Goshute Cave is tucked away in the desert mountains south of Wendover, Nevada. Only accessable by rough dirt roads, it has claimed many tires and car parts. On a day in March, Emily H describes how harrowing this road can become when winter won't release her grip on the Nevada desert.
